University of Toronto, Laskin Inn


Laskin Inn was granted its charter on November 4, 1994. The Inn is named after Bora Laskin — one of the founding professors of U of T Law School. Bora Laskin later became the 14th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada.

Among noteworthy Laskin Inn alumnus are former Magisters, Brian Bowman, now Mayor of Winnipeg, and Mr. Justice Michael Varpio of the Superior Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie.

The founding of Laskin Inn was originally spearheaded by Tim Hutzul. Tim Hutzul remains involved with Phi Delta Phi serving on the Board of Directors of Phi Delta Phi (Ontario) Society. Tim is also holds the post as International Historian for Phi Delta Phi International.
