The University of Western Ontario has had a chapter since April 6, 1979, called Rand Inn after the founding dean of the law school. There are over 400 barrister alumnus of Rand Inn.
In 2010, on the occasion of UWO Law's 50th anniversary, Phi Delta Phi initiated 7 new members into Rand Inn. Al Burton, the then Province President for Phi Delta Phi and a partner at Thomson Rogers, came from Toronto to administer the ceremony.
"The principles of Phi Delta Phi stand for professionalism and legal ethics," said Omar Ha-Redeye, then a third-year law student, and the Magister of the Inn. "It's a perfect match for our school, which is considered a pioneer in this field."
The Ontario Society is ready, willing and able to assist interested students in reactivating Rand Inn. If interested email president@phideltaphicanada.ca.
